38. REAL DREAMS

She ran behind the light, stumbling, falling she ran, the light kept disappearing, the light changed its hue, cream to pink, pink to orange and orange to red, light was dimming slowly, again leaving her in dark, she shook her head trying to touch the light, but the light dimmed and darkness engulfed her, she was about to cry for help

When the darkness around her slowly ceased, leaving a black and white light around her, she looked around her and found herself standing in a garden, with lots of flowers and butterflies around her, she then looked down at her, she was wearing a beautiful white gown, her hands hovered over her body trying to guess about the weird situation she was in

A minute back she was chasing a narrow line of light, and now she is bathing in it, she walked a little further trying to make sense out of this situation when it stuck her. 

Who is she, why can't she remember her name?

She didn't know her own identity, weird she thought, but laughing and giggling sounds of children snapped her out of revere, she saw a small girl approximately of four is running behind a boy, trying to catch the lolly in his hand

"Give it back to me!" the baby girl shouted

"No Khushi, bhai said not to give it to you" the boy shouted back laughing

"I will tell jiji Alkash" Khushi pouted

"It's Aakash bacha" he said rolling his eyes

Giving up totally Khushi sat down on the grass and started wailing throwing her hands and legs in the air, and soon she saw her jiji strangling Aakash, she smirked a little, her jiji came to her and gave her the lolly

"Thank you jiji" Khushi gave her a toothy smile

"That's not fair Payal" Aakash sulked

Payal chased Aakash and they soon disappeared, sighing approvingly she decided to eat her lolly, but

"You promised me Khushi" a child like yet deep voice intruded her, let her tongue out a little in guilt, she threw the lolly on the ground and pouted, she turned back and saw the boy smirking

"I hate you Arnav" she frowned

"That like my Khushi" he smiled

The girl in white gown watched the children's interaction in awe; she then looked at Arnav, who was making the girl named Khushi study,

"Khushi" she rolled the name on tongue, as in cue she spoke "I am Khushi" she looked amazed as she slowly stepped towards the boy named Arnav but before she could have reached them they disappeared, she frowned, and again someone's voice caught her attention and she ran toward that direction

"Yuck Arnav, yuck, you did that" the girl in blue jeans and red shirt shouted making the guy standing beside her flinch

"Khushi you will damage my ears" the guy snapped back covering his ears

"You don't dare to shout at me, you wasted my pocket money on that good for nothing girlfriend of yours" she said exasperated

"You dared me to propose her, you were the one who said I don't have guts to talk with any other girl other than you" Arnav explained himself

"And that's why you wasted my money, oh no Raizada that remotely doesn't excuse your horrendous mistake" she screamed

"You look very ugly when you shout" he commented and ran, Khushi running behind him with a bat, the infectious laughter of Arnav echoed around her

The Khushi in white gown laughed out loud "Arnav" she said to herself smiling, she was still looking at the direction where those figured disappeared, she turned in expectation to find something more but her eyes widened as the light around her slowly dimmed, after a minute she found herself standing in a room, with mirrors all around her

She gasped, she looked at her image, and she was wearing a black gown

"RUN Khushi..."

She turned gasping, looking for the voice but she couldn't move, as she looked down she found herself tied to the ground, acute helpless engulfed her, then she saw him, a man with his face turned other side, but she knew the figure

"Arnav" a plea for help escaped her mouth as the man slowly turned, Khushi gulped, Arnav was looking more helpless than her    

  

"You will hate me!" he whispered

"No, I will not" she snapped back

"I am sorry" and he turned and disappeared

"Arnav..." Khushi sat on the bed shouting his name, she was sweating, and dream was too real

"Or is it even a dream" she asked herself and then remembered doctor's words

"She will have flashbacks and dreams that will be only hope for her memory to return"

"It means, it was not a dream, it was a part of my previous life" she smiled through tears, she jumped down the bed to call Arnav but stopped "No, I will not tell him, may be later" she then thought telling her jiji but stopped "No, I will tell her tomorrow"

Replaying the dreams again and again in her mind she smiled,

"So we were childhood buddies, and my family has lied to me about the hostel thing" she said sadly "But they love me, they want my best"

She recalled how she was playing with Arnav, how they were teasing each other, but the last of dream was weird and even horrible,

"Arnav will not leave me like that... would he?"

She stood looking at the moon, replaying the dream again and again

"Arnav..." she whispered as she felt a strong pull in her stomach as she uttered his name

Arnav was sleeping soundly when his phone rang, first he decided to ignore it, but then his brain made an assumption that Khushi may be calling, so snapping his eyes open without seeing the caller he picked up the call

"Khushi" he grinned like a child

"No sir, it's inspector Khanna" the caller said and Arnav's grin dropped comically

"Oh, yeah inspector Khanna, what is it, you called this late" he tensed

"The cause related to this is quite a tension itself, so it was very important for me to contact you" inspector Khanna said

  "Yes please go ahead" now in ASR mode

"If you remember you have given us the permission to check the background of your employees and house members... well your staffs are totally clean but..."

"But what inspector Khanna?" he tensed

"Sir, one of your house member activities is quite doubtful" inspector Khanna said

"Who..." he gulped

"You brother in law... Veer Rathore" inspector Khanna sighed

Silence prevailed

"W... what" Arnav stammered as he gulped continuously

"ASR it is still not confirmed, his activities are doubtful, he can be clean, he is a doctor, but the past whole month his activities were weird, our man followed him, but found nothing, but ya he has a penthouse in Mumbai where he is staying right now" inspector Khanna explained

Getting no answer from Arnav he continued "ASR can we do a wide back ground check on him"

"No, he can't do this" Arnav cut the call

He frowned, his jiju was a good man, a family man, he knew how he too was involved with Anjali and Payal to reunite him and Khushi, and he could never do that, could he? But what about the penthouse, he had never mentioned it before

"No I can't allow inspector to have wide back ground check on him, it will be like insulting him" he punched the bed in frustration, he closed his eyes and image of a crying Khushi came in front of him, that's it, he picked up the phone and dialed inspector Khanna

"Do whatever you want inspector but I want the culprit" ASR hissed

Karan sat on a chair with Khushi's picture in one hand and red wine bottle in other, every trick and plans to separate Arnav and Khushi till now were failed, but Karan Roy would never back out, he smirked evilly as he thought about the plan he made for Arnav Singh Raizada, and this time he was sure that he would get successes, because Arnav would himself wrench himself away from Khushi

"I will give you the best birthday gift ever Arnav, just one more week after your parent's death anniversary, you will be ruined, you will break apart when you will get to know how your sisters were responsible in separating you from Khushi" his laugh echoed "Khushi is mine, she will be mine soon"

Veer closed his eyes to control his own rising temper, schooling his feature he tried to smile

“Obviously baby I love you, but I have to talk to Anjali so she doesn’t doubt me” Veer said caressing her backless back “By the way, you are looking beautiful and sexy in this black fitted dress” he smirked and Sana blushed

“Veer will you marry me after this chaos ends?” Sana hugged him, giving Sana an irritated look Veer said as sweetly as he could

“I love you too, now take this credit card and go for shopping, you need a break, and do shop some sexy lingerie” Veer said giving her his credit card

Khushi entered in the office smiling softly as she was remembering her moments with Arnav last night and her dream, she looked up at his office, and her eyes collided with the owner of two brown dark eyes

Arnav smiled softly at her and signaled her with his eyes to come up at his office; she nodded enthusiastically and ran up.

“Good morning Khushi” Arnav wished her

“Good Morning Sir” Khushi said with a poker face but burst out laughing when she saw surprised look on Arnav’s face

“Haha funny” he said sarcastically

“Arnav Singh Raizada, sarcasm don’t suit you” she said with attitude keeping her hand on his table, but she straighten up when she saw Arnav sauntering towards her with a predatory look on his face 

“You were saying something Khushi” he said as he moved towards her slowly

“I... ya... umm... I mean” she stammered

He stopped an inch away from her; he could smell her, taking a deep breath he filled his senses with her smell

Mhm... she smells of lily he thought closing his eyes as he opened them the first thing he saw was her trembling lips

“Arnav” she uttered and saw his eyes turning dark and then they both knew what was going to happen but this time Khushi initiated it

She lifted herself up and slammed her lips on his, taking his lips between her, she sucked them until he groaned, as the intensity and velocity of their kisses increased, their desire increased also, he lifted her up and made her sit on the table, widening her legs he stood between them and Khushi locked her legs around his thighs

His hand wandered around her body, he pulled the dress off her shoulder as he broke the kiss to suck her neck, he gave a bite on her collarbone, she threw her head back moaning, she clutched his nape tightly, and she pulled his face up again and slammed her lips on his

“You trust me” Arnav said like a child, asking for assurance

“I do” she smiled

Khushi was muttering to herself about how shameless her boss aka Laad governor was when her mobile rang, she looked at the screen and smiled

Raizada House was calling

“Hello Nani” she said chirpily

“How do you know that I am calling” Nani smiled

“Because I am genius” Khushi giggles making Nani laugh “Ji Nani boliye, what can I do for you”

“Beta I will not waste your time as I know you are in office, but I know that Arnav has told you about his parents death ceremony tomorrow” Nani’s voice cracked a little at end

“Ji, I know” Khushi said looking down, suddenly her face gloomy

“I want you and Payal to come here today this evening and prepare for the pooja and all rituals, Anjali will also help you both, but her and Chotey..... Tomorrow will be the hardest day for them” Nani sobbed

“Nani please don’t cry, I will be there after work, I promise” Khushi said like a child and Nani smiled

“Stay bless my child” Nani said

 “Shyam Uncle” Kairavi ran towards Shyam grinning, and he picked her up

“How is my baby” Shyam said kissing her cheeks

Anjali smiled looking at their interaction, how she wished Veer to be like Shyam, she frowned at her own thoughts and shook her head to stir them away

Shyam widened his eyes and Anjali coughed when she realized what she said

“I mean.... like.... I don’t know” she blushed

“Okay let’s go, let’s have lunch first” he said and then looked at Kairavi “Then we will go to adventure park, then movie then dinner” Kairavi grinned ear to ear

She decided to call him but stopped

“What if he doesn’t believe me? I should have one proof” she pulled out her phone and opened its camera to capture the scene

“Done” Sana smirked

“Inspector are you sure my jeeja ji is in Delhi only” Arnav asked calmly but actually there was a raging storm inside him

“Yes, we are sure ASR, and now we have found a whole new turn in this case” Inspector informed him

Arnav was looking straight, he jaw clenched, the nerve in his neck ticking, his eyes red

“If he is the one then...” inspector asked Arnav

“Finish him” ASR said in a dark voice

“But ASR he is your brother in law” the inspector stammered

“And Khushi is my wife” inspector gulped

“Sir we are still not sure, Mr. Veer is a reputed doctor, we can’t just arrest him, we still have no proofs against him” inspector said

“I hope Jeeja ji is not the culprit” Arnav said softly as Anjali’s laughing face floated in front of him

“We hope that too sir”

Khushi was working on the files of upcoming shows when she looked at the name of show stopper

Sana Khan

She didn’t want but the uncertainty rose in her, but then his pleading face came in front of her “No, I will believe him, be practical Khushi, you just have to wait, he will share his past with you soon, trust him”

She repeated this mantra in her mind

“Thinking about me” Arnav smirked

“No I am thinking about my Laad governor” she smiled

“Laad governor that happens to be me” he smiled “So, everything packed let’s go home, I will drop you”

“I am going Raizada house, Nani called me for the preparation of tomorrow’s pooja” she said and saw the look of sadness passed on his face but again he covered it with his stern look “It’s OK to be upset Arnav, you can’t be always ASR, at least not in front of me”

He smiled and shook his head “Let’s go then”

“I will tell you on the way about my dream” she looked sneakily at him and saw him frowning

“Dream?” he asked

“A dream, a reality of my past life” she whispered and Arnav gulped.

Arnav stood looking at his image in the crystal clear water of his pool, his face blank but eyes were raging with different emotions, fear, love, longing, desire and wait. His thought went back to his and Khushi's conversation on the way back to her house from Raizada mansion, she had told him about her dream, that how she remembered about him being her childhood buddy, he was thanking his stars that she didn't remember more of it, but somewhere inside him he does want her memory to be back, but the fear of losing her again held that desire back

He misses her already, Nani had broken down in front of Khushi, hugging her close, she complained about god that how god hadn't taken her first instead he took her children first, Khushi cried with her, for the all losses she didn't remember, she assured Nani like a mother assures her child, Arnav smiled

"Khushi can take care of everything, without her we are nothing, I am nothing" he sighed, his phone beeped indicating about an incoming message

He smiled when he read it  

Good Night, see you tomorrow in the morning and yes, it's a request and an order too, please don't fast tomorrow, as per Nani I will do it instead of you, I will be sitting in pooja with you, so don't you dare to skip your morning breakfast, you have to take your medicine

He smiled and replied back

Okay I get that, but you don't have to fast, I know how much you are crazy for food

Arnav :P

He waited and his phone beeped again

Well, Mr. Raizada are you trying to refrain me from doing the fast? 

Khushi :!

His raised his brows and replied

Well yes, you don't have to do it, I will do it, and I can handle it

He waited and his phone beeped

I am calling Nani

Okay I will not skip my meals, you can do the fast

At this point he could sense she was blushing, he chuckled

He went inside his room but then decided to check on Anjali and Kairavi.

Arnav checked the room but couldn't find them, he was about to panic when he heard sound of car pulling up, he went to window and saw Anjali coming out of Shyam's car with a sleeping Kairavi in her arms.

Shyam waved at them and shouted a goodnight making Anjali giggle, that was not over, he then saw Shyam running up to Anjali and kissing Kairavi, he gave a friendly hug to Anjali and then went to his car, finally waving at them he went away

Arnav looked at all this silently, he won't ask Anjali anything, may be everything that was happening was for good, he sighed and went out of the room

"Hello jija ji" Arnav called Veer

"Hey Arnav, how are you, are you okay" Veer asked

"I am... are you not coming back, di may need you tomorrow" Arnav tried to sound cool

"No I can't, I am still at Mumbai" Arnav closed his eyes

He is in Delhi; he is lying... why Arnav thought

"It's OK jiju, I will handle, good night" Arnav kept the call, and then called inspector Khan to inform him about the conversation

Anjali slept with a smile on her face, after many years she had laughed this freely and her daughter was happy too, she mentally thanked Shyam and slept

Veer stared at the picture of Shyam and Anjali smiling and Kairavi in their lap, he gritted his teeth

He would make sure Shyam regrets coming near his family.

"No worries sir, everything is under control for tomorrow, only few people are allowed in the mansion" Aman assured

"Sir that is addressed by Shyam sir, I called him, he said everything is under control" Aman sounded sleepy

"Oh I trust him, now go to sleep" Arnav smirked

    "Sir..." Aman said

"Yes Aman" he answered back

"I hope you will be alright tomorrow, because tomorrow is a very tough day for you and Anjali madam" he said

"I will be okay Aman, now I am not alone" he smiled

"I know sir" Aman smiled too "Good Night Sir"

"Off course Aakash I am your wife, I will sit with you, OK, now sleep good night" Payal ended the call and turned around only to find a shocked Khushi standing behind her with tears in her eyes

Payal told Khushi everything, editing few parts that she wanted Arnav to tell Khushi himself, now as Khushi knew everything she was only asking one question

"Why are you hiding this marriage, our family will accept it if you guys go and tell them, why are you hiding" Khushi asked

"We wanted you to be alright first" Payal fisted her palms, trying hard not to tell Khushi the whole truth that how she was redeeming for separating Khushi and Arnav, she couldn't just tell Khushi about her hideous deeds, she would lose her forever

"I am alright now, and why doesn't Arnav tell me anything if he knew all this, and do anyone else know, like Anji di?" Khushi asked further

"No only you and Arnav were the witnesses" Payal sounded guilty

"As you can see I am alright now, go and tell the family, or I will do the honor" Khushi stood up and Payal rushed to her

"Hey no please... I... Khushi, there is a lot happened while you were away, lot had happened before you lost your memory, everything is mess right now, there is a killer out there who is trying to kill you" Payal gripped Khushi's arm

"But why... why would anyone want to kill me" Khushi was now hysteric

"Khushi you promised to trust us, time will tell you everything, for now I just want you to support me, I love Aakash, he is my husband, I am sorry to hide this from you, I don't want to freak you out like you just did" they both fell silent

"I am sorry jiji, I just... maybe I am upset because I couldn't steal Aakash... I mean jiju's shoes" Khushi joked and they both laughed "You really love him, don't you"

"A lot" Payal answered

"When you both are going to open this secret" she asked

"In right time" she said and Khushi nodded

"Payal Raizada..." Khushi smiled taking her new name, as Payal blushed

Both sisters hugged and talked for hours

    Arnav closed his eyes, sighing, his life was a mess, and his only sanity was Khushi, he got up and opened the drawer beside bed and pulled out a necklace with black beads and a golden pendant hanging on it

 He had put it around her neck before marking her as his; he smiled as he remembered how she had cried bucket when he had put it around her neck demanding her from gods for eternity.

He still remembered the soft feeling of her skin gliding along his rough one, her tilting of hips with the rhythm he taught her, her kisses, her moans, her pleads, the nips, and the way she sank her teeth into his shoulder blades to hold on the groans inside her, her tightness, her screams, her hisses, her soothing words

He want them back, he wanted to live those moment again and again until he was alive. 

She was his, and he would make sure, that his wife always stays with him

41. EXPOSURE (B)

Morning came with the rays of change... changes for good, better and worse. Khushi stood in front of goddess Durga with her hands joined, a serene smile on her lips, wearing a pale pink sari; she was a vision to look at.

She had reached at Raizada mansion with Payal early in the morning, they had done the remaining preparation for the pooja, Anjali was gloomy today and Payal could even understand that, but even after losing her memory Khushi was assuring Anjali and Aakash as much as she could

"Nani everything is prepared, should I go and call bhai, he is probably sleeping" Aakash said as he adjusted the garland around their parent's photo frame

"Let him sleep, there are still three hours left for the ceremony" Nani said

"Yes, I don't want chotey to be sad, he had seen many things in this small age" Anjali choked remembering how her chotey witnessed the murder of their mother and Payal kept an assuring hand on her shoulder

"Di..." Khushi said and went to Anjali and hugged her "I will bring him down and he will not be upset"

Khushi opened the door slowly and saw him sleeping on his stomach, lips parted, hairs disarray, clutching a pillow to his chest he was snoring lightly, giggling a little Khushi made her way towards him and sat down beside him, his shirt was pulled up and a small area of his back and butt was visible, Khushi gasped as a sudden desire to ravish him engulfed her

Am I even a virgin? Yes I am a virgin but still I have these dirty and dangerous thoughts about a man she thought shuddering 

He moaned a little and turned on his back, leaving the pillow he grabbed Khushi and clutched her to his chest, Khushi's lips parted as her chest touched his, she placed her palm on his chest over his heart and felt his heartbeat increasing matching hers

Everything lie forgotten, Khushi abandoned every thought, she gazed at his sleeping face dazedly, and clutching his lapels of shirt she vanished the distance between their face, she kept her lips on his lightly and his sudden response was to open his lips more for her, this was all she needed, she took his lower lips and sucked soundly

He was floating in the air, the soft touch like petal on his lips felt heaven, he opened his mouth more and more, then he felt his lower lips being pulled and sucked more and the need, dark desire inside him roared recognizing the touch, unconsciously he moved his hand and kept on something that felt like hairs, he was living a beautiful dream and he didn't want to wake up

He increased the pressure taking those petals like lips more into his mouth; it was a beautiful dream until she moaned

Arnav's senses slowly woke up as he felt a petite frame lying over him, her hands roaming on his chest, his hands roaming on her nape and back, and it hadn't taken him time to recognize the touch

"Khushi" he spoke groggily after breaking apart from kiss, he saw her panting, her saree little out of place, she atop of him and her hair covering them, her lips wet, she was still licking her lips to ease the sting

Arnav was still not able to come in terms, he had again kissed her thinking her as a dream, he waited for her reaction but when he didn't get any, he again called her softly

"Khushi... thik ho tum"

She nodded and gulped, she opened her eyes and looked up at him, and she blushed when she saw him looking at her with an amusing expression

"I am used to your kisses now" she replied shyly

Arnav's surprised expression slowly converted into the joy one and he grinned

"If that is the matter then here it is" he grabbed her waist and earned a shriek from her

Laying her on her back, he took her lips into a deep kiss

And it was reality in which they were living

Pooja was done, pandit ji had requested them all to break their fast, escorting Pandit ji up to the door Payal returned and saw Aakash standing sadly looking at his parent's picture

"You won't leave me ever right" he asked as he sensed Payal behind him

"No... Never" she kissed his shoulder and smiled

Khushi smiled looking at them and clutched Arnav's hand, he turned to look at her and she told him to look at Payal and Aakash, he looked back at her surprised

"I know... I heard them talking last night, and she told me leaving some of the part that she wants you to tell me" she said and Arnav gulped

"Just give me more time Khushi..." he tried to pacify

"I know... I trust you" she smiled and hugged his arms

"I can't change the past but I promise I will give you every happiness in our present and future" he promised

Anjali smiled seeing her chotey happy and content, his life was coming on track and that was all because of Khushi, but she felt alone, she wanted someone to hold her, especially in this day.

"Anjali..."

"Khushi go and eat some sweets to break your fast and please serve all of us too" Nani asked Khushi

"Sure Nani" Khushi got up and went to Kitchen, Arnav had ordered her second favorite sweet Rasgulla, she clapped her hands like a child and giggled

"Someone seems very happy" Shyam said as he entered the kitchen in search of Anjali

"Arnav had ordered Rasgulla for me" she grinned, she was deciding which one is big enough to eat when Shyam observed something

He saw an ant {insect}  licking the liquid syrup from the packet of sweets, and within a second that ant stopped moving, he observed more closely and took that ant on his hand, his eyes widened in realization

"KHUSHI STOP" he screamed

Khushi's hand halted in middle as she looked at him with a deer caught expression, before she could have asked anything to him, everyone except Nani came rushing inside the kitchen, and Arnav was at once on Khushi's side

"What happened Shyam, why you shouted" Anjali asked clutching his arm and saw him holding an ant on his palm

"Arnav call the police" Shyam said gravely and Arnav nodded

They all were in the living room, with Khushi and Nani sitting on the sofa, a panicked look on Nani's face, she was clutching Khushi close to her, Payal, Aakash, and Anjali had a pensive look, and Shyam was looking nearly murderous

Arnav was standing in the middle, shedding Khushi,

"Forensic tests say that these sweets have poison, and these are not only harmful but dangerous, they can kill any person within a second, thanks to Shyam he observed the ant, if he hadn't..." inspector Khanna looked worried

Aakash went up to Arnav who was still shaken up "Aakash I have nearly lost her again" he breathed heavily

"EVEN AFTER ARRANGING SO MUCH OF SECURITY, THAT SON OF A BIT*H REACHED HER, I AM AN FAILURE AAKASH" he shouted "Inspector I want police around mine and Gupta house 24 hours, and from now Khushi will stay at my place"

Khushi paled hearing this "Arnav mom dad will never agree..."

"I will talk to them" Payal replied and Aakash nodded

"I will arrange the room for her, Shyam will you help me" Anjali stood up

"What the hell is going on...?" Khushi screamed 

"Trust me" Arnav turned towards her "Let us take him down" he hissed

"I am with you" Shyam didn't know himself about which brother's doing was that, his one brother was out of India and was not returning anytime soon and he didn't know his another brother  but he would protect Khushi like he had promised before.

"You still doubt your brother-in-law" inspector Khanna asked

"Yes..." Arnav said "Make your agent follow him" he ordered

"Well as per my agent, he is coming back, he is on his way"

"Don't worry, she will be alright, she has Arnav and all of us, she will be fine" Shyam assured a worried Anjali

"You promise" Anjali asked like a child and he nodded smiling

They were lost in each other when

"Hello baby... I am back" Veer entered
