CHAPTER
54~ END OF THE EVIL

“Kill her”
Khushi
gasped, she looked at his face trying to search the warmth she had seen while
he was kissing her a while ago. Why is he
doing this she thought
“Are
you serious Raizada” Veer looked stumped
“Yes
let’s make a deal, I value my life, I have already lived a year and half
without her and believe me I can live my whole life, you want to kill her
right” he held Khushi’s forearm and pushed her in front of him, then pushed her
some more “Go on and let me leave”
Veer
and Khushi’s expression were alike. Khushi was unable to believe that he was
the same man who was always ready to die for her, there was surely something,
she wouldn’t believe this easily, but if that was his plan why didn’t he involve
her
On
the other hand Veer was perplexed and shaken up badly. All his revenge was to
cause pain and loss to Raizada, but here ASR was ready to give up Khushi for
his own life, even ASR was making a deal. He doesn’t want that, Khushi or her
family hadn’t killed his parents, it was Raizadas who killed them.
His
decision was made, he looked at Khushi who was trembling, and then at Arnav who
was standing 10 feet away from him with a cold expression what does he think that I will let him go, if I can’t cause him pain
then I will kill him not Khushi
“So
deal done” ASR asked
“Yes”
Veer said “But there is slight change in the plan, how about I don’t kill her
instead I will kill you”
Arnav’s
jaw tightened, Plan successful! He closed his eyes ready to take the bullet!
The time has come
Khushi’s
eyes snapped up at him, now she knew “NO... NO... stop please Veer I beg you”
“See
how desperate you are... you are a
shameless creature, can’t you see he is ready to get you killed” Veer screamed
“I
don’t care” Khushi shouted, she turned to Arnav and grasped his hair tip toeing
up at his face level “Don’t do this” she whispered
“I
care, I care for my dead mother, and I have to take her revenge” he pointed the
gun at them “1...2...3”
Arnav pushed Khushi aside and she fell down, a
loud shot echoed around her and she screamed, her mind made up an image of
Arnav sliding down with blood trickling from his chest, but all she heard was
Veer’s scream, she turned and saw Veer lying on the ground clutching his
shoulder. Then she saw Shyam standing with a smoking gun pointed at Veer and
Anjali running towards them.
Soon
she was engulfed by two strong hands, she looked up, and the warmth on Arnav’s
face has returned, with a broken cry she threw her arms around him and cried.
“Chotey...
Khushi...” Anjali sat beside them and hugged them “Thank god you are okay”
“Where
is the police di” Arnav asked
“I
came from our secret short route so that Shyam can talk to Veer, Police and
Aakash are coming”
Arnav
saw Shyam crouching down beside Veer whispering something furiously “Shyam has
a link with him?”
“He
is his third adopted brother” Anjali said the adopted word loudly
“Oh
god all this is confusing, take me home Arnav” Khushi sobbed “I am still
terrified after how you behaved back there”
“It
was a plan” Arnav said
“A
plan where I might have lost you, what if Di hasn’t arrived, you think I would
have lived without you, if he had killed you I would have jumped down this
cliff right away” Khushi cried bitterly
“Hush
no more crying” Anjali patted her head
Arnav
hugged them both close to their heart
“I
am sorry” Anjali whispered
“It’s
okay Di, I am sorry too” Arnav said caressing Anjali’s head
“I
am sorry three” Khushi giggled in between all the crying
And
then they hear a painful voice, they all looked back at the brothers and saw
Shyam lying on floor clutching his stomach, trying to pull out a knife “Run
Run” he shouted
“I
will kill you all” Veer shouted as he tried to stand up
“Listen
to me Veer” Anjali stood in front of them
“No
di....” Arnav and Khushi shouted
As
Veer pulled the trigger, Arnav came in front of them taking the bullet straight
in his shoulder, Khushi and Anjali screamed in horror as Arnav was wrenched
back by the force of bullet
“Now
you” he looked at Khushi and he pulled the trigger,
Anjali
and Khushi closed their eyes but the bullet never touched them, as they opened
their eyes, they saw Shyam standing in front of them swaying, and sliding down
with his eyes closed. Then they looked at Veer who was ready to pull the
trigger again but before he could have Arnav buzzed past them and attacked Veer
He
took him down and thwacked his face, punch after punch was delivered on his
face, Arnav was looking like a mad person, Khushi called his name but his mind
was registering none, pictures of Veer hitting Khushi played through his mind,
he saw a bloody knife laying beside him, he picked it up and looked at Veer’s
horror stricken face.
“Now
I want you to feel the pain” Arnav hissed, he looked back and screamed to
Khushi “Be with Di”
Anjali
crouched down beside Shyam, taking his limp body on her lap; Khushi too came
and held his hand
“You
will be okay” Anjali cried “Please stay”
“I
don’t have time” Shyam said “I love you; I have loved you ever since I saw you”
“I
love you too, gosh don’t leave me, I need you, please don’t do this to me”
Anjali cried “Please help someone” Anjali shouted
“Shh...
look at me” he pulled her face down, blood smashed on her face from his palm “I
have loved and will always love you” he took a pained breath “Tell Kairavi I
fulfilled my promise”
“No
No” Khushi said, keeping her palms over his chest she pushed with all her strength
“Breath, breath”
Anjali
sat like a statue as Shyam closed his eyes and breath left his body

Arnav’s
eyes were red “Have you seen death” Arnav asked “if you haven’t then see me,
look at my eyes before I kill you slowly”
“I
am your sister’s husband” Veer laughed
Arnav
stabbed the knife right through his lungs and Veer screamed, his eyes wide,
face white with terror, Arnav again stabbed on his arm, then stomach, he was
about to stab in his heart when Khushi screamed his name
“No
Arnav...baby no” she tried to go to him but Anjali held her back
“Kill
him chotey” Anjali said quietly, true she had once loved him, but that man was
evil and evil must die
“No...
Baby, you are not a criminal” Khushi cried
“You
were in coma but I saw Arnav, roaming around with that haunted look, he
used scream your name while he slept, he had seen you almost die in front of
him, let him get that out of his system” Anjali said still sitting down with
Shyam’s limp body on her lap
Khushi
sat down on her knees as Arnav’s red eyes met hers, she saw the pain, the
anger, the terror, the guilt, the damaged man, the child who saw his father
being killed, the man who saw the love of his life nearly dead in front of him.
He had lost a lot, his past has haunted him for years, and maybe it was time to
close that book, maybe being a saint was always not good, maybe killing that
vile man will bring her Arnav back maybe that would assure him. She closed her
eyes and when she opened them again she looked at Arnav and nodded.
Arnav
threw the knife and took the gun from Veer’s hand and stood up, his shoulder
was bleeding heavily. “1...2...”
“Bhai
stop” the police force came running and surrounded the area, Aakash ran to
Khushi and Anjali, he sat beside them and looked at Shyam’s dead body, he
hugged them and cried silently “He is dead” one police man confirmed
“Arrest
me after but I will kill him inspector, he is a terror for my family, he has
snatched many things from me, I will not let him live anymore” Arnav said
quietly
Khushi
looked down at Anjali who was caressing Shyam’s face pleading him to wake up;
Aakash looked at Khushi, his eyes pained. Her decision was made, she stood up and
shouted “Kill him love, give him the death he deserves”
Silence
surrounded them
“Kill
him” the senior inspector said, all police man looked towards them in
understanding “Law will punish him but we can’t have such criminal alive, kill
him ASR and we will handle the rest”
“1...2”
Arnav shot Veer right in his head “No count of three for you”
