47. CHASING

Khushi
was driving back home, her tears were not stopping, Arnav's unresponsive
behavior was worrying her, she was judging her decision of leaving him alone
but she knew that Arnav loves her and he would come back but a negative nagging
feeling was consuming her, the way he was looking at her made her feel like he
was taking her fill, like he was looking at her for the last time
He was not aloof to her, he seemed like a man who was fighting a lost battle and finally gave up. Khushi's hand tightened on steering, the information she got from Aakash was Arnav never left her but only wanted some alone time, Arnav was over possessive of Khushi hence when she sympathized with Karan even after knowing the truth had broken Arnav. But what if Arnav took some wrong decision in this situation; she knew he was too broken to be left alone
The thought paralyzed her, she knew he had done wrong, but she also knew that how much he had berated himself, she remembered when she had come back into his life, how he was trying to stay away from her, how he was trying to prove himself a bad man in front of her but she was the one who even after knowing his past drew close to him. She remembered his confession where he was trying to push her away, trying to deny his feelings, but she was firm, she was the one who shouted about not caring about his past
The Sana fiasco was hurting but she knew that there has to be some other reason, it couldn't be lust or need, Arnav was way more than broken. Arnav was loyal, she knew and she could bet her life. That man has given Sana a new identity of being his girlfriend so that no one would badly categorize her. As per Aakash he had sent Sana to be friend with Arnav but she had to know what exactly had happened. It's not that it was all Arnav's fault.
She made a point to meet Sana but before that she had to meet Karan to ask why the hell he wanted to separate her from her Arnav. She had to find many answers in order to protect Arnav. Their sisters had already back stabbed them and she knew that had broken Arnav to the point of no return but he was not alone anymore she thought firmly

Anjali sat listening to everything that Sana said, every word uttered by Sana was mocking her, she was too numb to react, she couldn't even cry, she couldn't even say that she had lost it all, the reality was she didn't have anything ever in first place
"Are you sure..." Anjali managed to say between the choking tears
"Yes, he is the second son of Sandhaya" Sana said
Anjali sat there unmovable, her married life was a sham and the man she married and gave everything was a part of her haunted past.
"Veer" she mouthed painfully and broke into sobs, Sana sobbed with her mumbling Sorry every now and then. Anjali clutched her Mangalsutra tightly and the act stabbed Sana in heart.
Anjali's mind travelled to Arnav, she was his culprit, and she now knew that he was not at fault. But it was time to be the big sister she has failed to be earlier, wiping her tears...
"I need to go, I have to save my family, I know you have destroyed my Chotey but I have to tell Khushi the truth, I have to be strong, but listen don't let Veer know that I know everything, remember I am a Raizada and I can finish you off" Anjali warned, gone was the warm woman
"I am already dead Anjali" Sana said
Giving Sana a final look Anjali went out of there, first she had to ensure Kairavi's safety and then she would plan.
Sana kept sitting there looking at the ring that once Veer had given her and suddenly she remembered Shyam
"Shit I forgot to tell her about Shyam" Sana pulled her hair "Maybe I should go to RM, it's high time for those innocent people to know everything"

"Please Shyam take care of Kairavi" she said hurriedly running towards the car
"But where are you going Anjali" Shyam held her hand
"I will tell you everything, once I solve this mess" she was about to go when Shyam stopped her
"Anjali just remember that I am always with you" Shyam looked at her concerned and unable to stop herself Anjali hugged him tightly
"I know Shyam... I know" she said
Shyam looked at her tensed face as she drove away "Kairavi go inside I am coming" after sending her inside Shyam called his detectives
"Keep eyes on Anjali and ensure her safety"

Veer broke the vase shouting "How dare she bypass me, I am gonna kill this Sana, I am gonna kill her"

Khushi entered RM shouting for Anjali and Payal but none of them showed up, she was about to go out when she saw Sana coming in, her face red, tears streaming down from her eyes
"What are you doing here" Khushi's voice showed disgust
"You have every reason to hate me Khushi but please hear me out" she sobbed "I have done many sins but the biggest one was separating Arnav from you but believe me I didn't do it for money I did that for my love"
"Love, you loved Arnav" Khushi paled
"No, but I loved... holy crow I am still in love with the man who had planned all this Khushi, the man who made me do all this" Sana sunk down
Khushi too knelt down, holding her shoulder Khushi made her look up "Tell me everything Sana, please"
"I... Khushi..." Sana was unable to talk ashamed to say how she traded her body for her so called love. But when Love was ever fair, Love can reduce you to anyone or anything and love has reduced Sana to scum.
"See Sana, I won't judge you okay, just tell me one thing, was the relation..." Khushi stopped taking a deep breath "The physical relation..." god that hurts she thought "The relationship was mutual or he..." Khushi clutched Sana's shoulder
"No it was not mutual" Sana whispered and covered her face "Believe me Khushi I am not a s**t, I respect ASR, I now understand how much he had loved you and how I used him, I destroyed him Khushi, I made him do all wrong things"
"What you did to him" Khushi shook her "Did you seduced him, what tell me, how the hell did you slept with him"
"I..." Sana brokenly looked at her
"You what... tell me dammit" Khushi shouted
"I drugged him" Sana broke down, hauling loudly in arms of Khushi "I drugged him, my love made me do it, and I ruined everything"
"Drug..." Khushi stammered unable to breathe Khushi choked on words "What drug..."
"Rohypnol..." she whispered then she took out a see through bottle and kept it between them
"Tell me about it" Khushi asked eying the bottle
"It's a drug..." Sana started
"No... No not about it how did you use it on my Arnav" She whimpered with gut wrenching pain in her heart
Sana stayed mum, she shook her head and joint her hands in front of her, she shook and trembled with guilt "Say it" Sana heard Khushi say
"I...Khushi..." Sana tried
"Don't bloody stammer" Khushi shouted, taking the bottle in her hand "How did you use it on him"
"He thought of me as a friend..." Sana was breathing hard "Then one day..."
Sana drifted back to the past
FLASHBACK
"Today you have to do this Sana... for me" Veer said
"How can you even say that" Sana begged
"Don't you love me" Veer asked
"I do but that man cries for her, he is already guilty and..." Sana said
"Destroy him for me... you have to do this, my love won't decrease for you, infact it'll increase" Veer said and smiled when he sensed her surrender "Just mix this with his coffee or juice and then stay close to him"
"Tell me everything about it, what medicine is this" Sana skeptically eyed the bottle
"Medicine?" he laughed "It is a drug" he smirked seeing Sana pale "A drug that will disarm him completely, after consuming it he will go on a level of no return"
Sana stayed mum
"Give him two tablets... that will make him worse, he would have no choice then to come to you, plus he would not remember anything after coming back to his sense"
"It can harm him" Sana argued
"As if I care"

"Sana I think you should stop coming here, I can never stop loving her, sometimes I am unbelievably rude to you, you are a good friend of Aakash and I don't want to embarrass him"
Arnav kept talking; Sana was standing behind his huge table eying his back, she gulped while taking out the bottle from her bag, eying him for one last time she dropped two tablets into his coffee and stirred it
"What are you doing" Sana trembled and stepped back leaving the spoon in the cup. Arnav looked at his coffee and then at her
"Just making coffee for you" she tried to smile
Nodding Arnav drank the coffee silently, looking at the photo of Khushi that was placed on his table.
"I should go" Sana said
Arnav stood to escort her out when his sight blurred, he was stumped as he stumbled back on the chair, he shook his head trying to fight the blackness that was spreading before his eyes
"ASR" he heard Sana calling his name
Sana closed her eyes ensuring herself yet again that she would get Veer's love by doing this. She broke as she placed herself on his lap, Arnav tried to fight, tried to push her back but the black desires were consuming him, he stopped fighting as her body covered his

He gave me the status of girlfriend but..." she gave a dried laugh "He was dead the day he found himself naked with me, the disgust I saw for himself in his eyes shook me but I was blind for my love" Sana trembled "Then one day you came back" she exhaled
"The man I worked for, the man who claimed to love me told me to drug ASR again, as idiot I was I did but ASR didn't blame himself that day, I was shocked when he pushed me out of his cabin and told me to not come there again, yes I felt used, I felt like killing me, killing him" Sana shouted "But Khushi he was doing all that to prove himself a bad man to you, he was trying to frame himself" wiping the tears
"But you... you changed him, he tried to push you away but you held on to him making me see the actual meaning of love, your love is what I never had and never will" she sighed "Aakash stopped me from meeting him but I was again ordered to drug him and push you inside his cabin so that he will lose his sense and force you.." Sana shuddered when she recalled how evilly Veer was planning this
"I caught you with this bottle that day" Khushi voice was strange "How are you even alive, you should hang yourself or drown in a river, how can you live a pathetic life like this" Khushi said, her voice emotionless
She kept staring at the sobbing figure of Sana when Anjali and Aakash came running
"Khushi..." Aakash said
"She drugged him" she stood up in rage and pointed towards Sana "This girl drugged my Arnav, you all destroyed him and killed him" she held her head and shouted, she turned and made Sana stand
"Who was the man behind all this?" Khushi hissed
"Khushi I will tell you but listen to us... bhai..." Aakash tried to say
"Oh shut up, you and these sisters have done enough" she stopped them making Aakash more desperate
"You want to know the man behind all this" he shouted "Veer... husband of my sister, son of Sandhaya, he is the mastermind"
